PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY. IT DESCRIBES THE INFORMATION VECTOR RESEARCH COLLECTS, THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH IT IS PROCESSED, AND THE LEGAL RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE WITH RESPECT TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes the manner in which Vector Research (“Vector Research,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, processes, discloses, retains, and protects information about visitors, readers, and other users (each, a “User,” and collectively, “Users”) of vectorresearch.xyz and any related online properties or services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, You acknowledge that You have read, understood, and agree to the collection and processing of Your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If You do not agree with any provision of this Privacy Policy, do not access or use the Service.

  • Processor” means a person or entity that Processes Personal Data on behalf of a Controller.
  • You” or “Your” refers to the individual User accessing or using the Service.

2. Scope and Application

This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Data collected by Vector Research through the Service. It does not apply to:

  • Personal Data collected by Vector Research outside the Service, including direct correspondence not initiated through the Service;
  • Third-party websites, services, or applications that may be linked from the Service, each of which is governed by its own privacy notice for which Vector Research is not responsible;
  • Personal Data Processed by third-party data controllers, including payment-processors, identity-verification providers, and analytics providers acting in their own controller capacity.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Identification and contact information — email address provided in connection with sign-in or correspondence, and any optional information You voluntarily supply.
  • Communications — the content of any correspondence, feedback, complaints, or inquiries You submit to us, together with metadata associated with such communications.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and connection data: Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, screen and viewport metadata, language preferences, and approximate geolocation derived from IP.
  • Usage data: pages visited, dwell time, navigation paths, referring URLs, exit URLs, click events, and other interactional metadata generated when You access the Service.
  • Log and security data: server logs, request and response metadata, user-agent strings, security and anti-fraud telemetry, including failed authentication and abuse signals.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 5 below.

3.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive Personal Data from analytics providers, hosting providers, identity providers, anti-fraud services, and other Processors. We treat such Personal Data consistently with this Privacy Policy.

3.4 Sensitive and Special-Category Data

Vector Research does not knowingly collect sensitive or special-category personal data — categories that may include, depending on jurisdiction, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade-union membership, genetic or biometric data, health data, sex life or sexual orientation, data concerning criminal convictions, or precise geolocation data. To the extent any such data is provided to us, we will Process it consistently with applicable law.

4. Purposes and Lawful Bases for Processing

We Process Personal Data for the following purposes, each in reliance on one or more lawful bases recognized under applicable data-protection law (which may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, or consent):

  • Provide and operate the Service — to deliver requested content, authenticate access, maintain sessions, and provide functionality.
  • Maintain security — to detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized access.
  • Communicate with You — to respond to inquiries, provide administrative notices, and inform You of material changes to the Service.
  • Improve the Service — to analyze aggregate usage, debug, develop new features, and assess content quality, using safeguards including aggregation, pseudonymization, and access controls.
  • Comply with applicable law — to satisfy legal, regulatory, audit, recordkeeping, and enforcement obligations, including responses to lawful requests by public authorities.
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims — including investigation of complaints and assertion of our rights.
  • Other purposes with Your consent — where we Process Personal Data on the basis of Your consent, You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of Processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Where applicable, You may obtain further information about the lawful bases on which we rely, including any balancing test underpinning legitimate interests, by contacting us using the details below.

5. Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies (collectively, “Tracking Technologies”) to operate the Service, remember Your preferences, analyze usage, and prevent fraud. Tracking Technologies fall into the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary: required to deliver the Service and to maintain its security and integrity. These cannot be disabled.
  • Functional: remember preferences You have selected and improve the experience.
  • Performance and analytics: measure usage, performance, and reliability of the Service.
  • Security: detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.

You may configure Your browser to refuse cookies, delete cookies, or alert You when cookies are placed; however, certain features of the Service may not function as intended if cookies are disabled. Where required by applicable law, we obtain consent before placing non-strictly-necessary Tracking Technologies.

6. How We Share Personal Data

We do not sell Personal Data, and we do not share Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose Personal Data only as follows:

  • Processors and service providers acting under contract on our behalf, including hosting, database and authentication, email infrastructure, analytics, and security providers, each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Legal, regulatory, and safety disclosures: where required by law, valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or integrity of Vector Research, our Users, or the public; to enforce our terms; or to investigate fraud or abuse.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or insolvency, in which case Personal Data may be transferred to a successor or acquiring entity, subject to confidentiality undertakings and applicable law.
  • With Your direction: where You direct us to share Personal Data with a specified third party.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information: we may share information that is aggregated, pseudonymized, or otherwise de-identified such that it cannot reasonably be used to identify You.

7. International Data Transfers

Personal Data collected through the Service may be transferred to, stored in, and Processed in jurisdictions other than the jurisdiction in which it was originally collected, including jurisdictions whose data-protection laws differ from those of Your country.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for such cross-border transfers, we will rely on the safeguards permitted under that law — which may include adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, certification mechanisms, or other recognized transfer mechanisms. By using the Service, You acknowledge and consent to the transfer of Your Personal Data subject to such safeguards as may be applicable.

8. Data Retention

We retain Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting, audit, or reporting obligations, and as necessary to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Specific retention windows depend on the category of data and the purpose of Processing, including but not limited to:

  • Authentication and account data: for the duration of the relationship plus a reasonable period thereafter for security and audit purposes.
  • Communications: generally retained for the period necessary to address the inquiry and any reasonable subsequent reference period.
  • Server logs and security telemetry: retained for a rolling period appropriate to detection of, and response to, fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Anonymized or aggregated data: may be retained indefinitely.

Retention periods may be extended where required to comply with legal obligations, enforce our rights, or defend legal claims.

9. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Such safeguards include access controls, encryption in transit, pseudonymization where appropriate, and monitoring of our systems. No system, however, is impervious: we cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of any Personal Data, and any transmission of Personal Data to or from the Service is at Your own risk. You are responsible for safeguarding any credentials issued to You.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law and to verification of Your identity, You may have the following rights with respect to Your Personal Data:

  • Right of access: to obtain confirmation of whether we Process Personal Data concerning You and, if so, a copy of that data.
  • Right of rectification: to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
  • Right of erasure: to request deletion of Personal Data, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to restrict Processing: to request that we limit Processing in defined circumstances.
  • Right to data portability: to receive Personal Data You have provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: to object to Processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing.
  • Right to withdraw consent: where Processing is based on consent, to withdraw it at any time.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: with a competent supervisory authority (see Section 14).
  • Right not to be subject to automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects: we do not engage in such automated decision-making with respect to Users.

To exercise any right, contact us at torres@vectorresearch.xyz. We may need to verify Your identity before responding. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

11. Jurisdiction-Specific Privacy Rights

Depending on Your jurisdiction of residence, You may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws — including, as the case may be, rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, restrict the Processing of, or opt out of certain disclosures of Personal Data, and a right to non-discrimination for exercising such rights.

We do not engage in targeted advertising and we do not sell or share Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly engage in such Processing with respect to minors. Authorized agents may submit a request on Your behalf, subject to reasonable verification. To exercise any applicable right, contact torres@vectorresearch.xyz.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from such individuals. Where applicable law sets a higher minimum age, we observe the higher age. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a person below the applicable threshold without the consent required by applicable law, we will delete such information promptly. A parent or guardian who believes we may have collected Personal Data from a child should contact us at torres@vectorresearch.xyz.

13. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Different browsers and platforms offer different mechanisms for signaling tracking preferences. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, as no industry consensus has emerged on their interpretation. Where required by applicable law, we will honor recognized opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control) with respect to the rights they invoke under such law.

14. Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version in effect as of any User’s access is the version posted to the Service on that date. Material changes will be communicated by revising the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service following any update constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

15. Complaints

If You believe Your Personal Data has been Processed in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, You may lodge a complaint with us at torres@vectorresearch.xyz, or, where applicable, with the competent regulatory authority in Your jurisdiction. We will engage with such complaints in good faith and consistent with applicable law.
